The Indians travel to Peoria to face the Padres in today's spring training contest, with first pitch scheduled for 3:05 ET. The game is listed on MLB.TV (though with the San Diego broadcast team), with audio also available on WTAM in the Cleveland area and for free through MLB.TV worldwide.
It's a bullpen day, meaning none of the Tribe's expected starting pitchers will be working. Tyler Cloyd will start, likely throwing two innings. Cloyd was with the Phillies until the end of last year, when they released him after he posted a 6.56 ERA in 60.1 innings.
Cloyd will be followed by Scott Atchison, Bryan Shaw, Nick Hagadone, Mike Zagurski, J.C. Ramirez, Austin Adams, and T.J. House. Shaw is the only one among that group expected to make the Opening Day roster.
Today's starting lineup:
1) Michael Bourn (CF)
2) Nick Swisher (1B)
3) Jason Kipnis (2B)
4) Carlos Santana (3B)
5) Michael Brantley (LF)
6) Asdrubal Cabrera (SS)
7) David Murphy (DH)
8) Elliot Johnson (RF)
9) Matt Treanor (C)
Most of those guys will probably play 6 innings or so today.
Ryan Raburn bruised his knee when he ran into the outfield wall while trying to track down a home run yesterday. MLB.com's Jordan Bastian says it's not considered serious, and that Raburn is considered day-to-day, and passes long this quote:
Raburn, on his collision with RF wall at Cubs Park: "They were worried about my head. I was like, 'There ain't nothing up there to hurt.'"
