The Indians host the Giants at Goodyear Ballpark tonight, in a rare Cactus League nightcap, with first pitch scheduled for 10:05 ET. Think of it as practice for Opening Day, when the Tribe will be in Oakland for a late game, because Bud Selig hates Cleveland. The game isn't being televised, probably because the cameramen are unionized and don't roll after 7:00 during spring training.
Zach McAllister will start for the Indians, and he'll likely be asked to go 5 innings. He really struggled in his last outing when he lasted 3.1 of a scheduled 4 innings, and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks. Hopefully he gets back on track this evening.
Righty Ryan Vogelsong starts for San Francisco.
Today's starting lineup:
1) Asdrubal Cabrera (SS)
2) Nick Swisher (1B)
3) Jason Kipnis (2B)
4) Carlos Santana (3B)
5) Michael Brantley (LF)
6) Yan Gomes (C)
7) Bryan LaHair (DH)
8) Jeff Francoeur (RF)
9) Nyjer Morgan (CF)
Santana is at third base tonight, but he'll start at catcher on Wednesday, his first Cactus League game there all spring (though he has caught a couple bullpen sessions). There's no word yet on how his time will be divided beyond tomorrow.
In other news, if you thought Scott Kazmir was a longshot :
Indians have signed former pitching prospect RHP Adam Miller to a Minor League contract (no big league invite). The Finger is back.

Miller, as you probably recall, was the Tribe's top prospect for something like 20 straight years, but was felled by a faulty middle finger. Wouldn't it be something if he somehow made it after all this time? He's now 29, for what it's worth.
