Indians Monday game thread: Tribe takes on Reds; Corey Kluber to start

The Tribe has a road trip to their own ballpark this afternoon, to take on the Reds

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Indians "travel" to Goodyear Ballpark this afternoon to face the Reds. The two teams share the complex, but Cincinnati will be considered the home team today. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 ET. The game will be televised on STO, as well as on MLV.TV.

Corey Kluber will start for the Indians. He will likely be asked to throw 5 innings as he continues to build up his stamina in preparation for his first start of the season, in the team's second game (two weeks from tomorrow). Kluber has 10 strikeouts and 0 walks in 10 innings so far this spring, which is great, though he was touched up for 3 runs on 6 hits in 4 innings in his last outing.

John Axford, Marc Rzepczynski, Josh Outman, and Preston Guilmet will follow Kluber.

Today's starting lineup:

1) Elliot Johnson (CF)

2) Nick Swisher (DH)

3) David Murphy (RF)

4) Lonnie Chisenhall (3B)

5) Mike Aviles (SS)

6) David Cooper (1B)

7) David Adams (2B)

8) Tyler Holt (LF)

9) Luke Carlin (C)

Not exactly Murderers' Row for the Indians today, is it? They'll be facing Cincinnati's Mike Leake, a solid righty.

Also, Opening Day is two weeks from today! (well, two weeks from tonight, since they've got a late start in Oakland)
