Wow are these Clippers hot right now? 23 runs on 22 hits and 7!!! HRs. It was just an insane performance last night. Johnathan Rodriguez lead the way, going 3-7 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs!!! Jhonkensy Noel continues to rake, going 4-6 with 2 RBIs, he’s up to a .273 batting average and an .897 OPS on the season. This is easily the best I have seen Noel play since 2021. George Valera continues his hot streak, going 2-5 with a HR, 2 RBIs, and a walk. Bryan Lavastida also had 2 HRs, and went 3-5 with a walk. Juan Brito went 2-5 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks.

Will Dion had another tough start, pitching just 3 innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out just 2 while walking 1. His ERA on the season is up to 7.08. Tanner Burns, Erik Sabrowski, and Nick Mikolajchak combined for 5 scoreless innings and 7 strikeouts in relief.

C.J. Kayfus got promoted to AA and got...better? This kid is insane, he went 3-5 today with a triple, raising his AA batting average to .583 and his OPS to 1.810. Alexfri Planez continues his hot streak, going 2-5 with a double. He’s up to a .751 OPS on the season. Milan Tolentino and Joe Lampe also both had 3 hit games.

Aaron Davenport had another great start against a really tough lineup. He threw 5 innings, struck out 6, walked 1, and gave up just 2 runs. His ERA on the season is at 2.02. Akron has multiple pitchers that have earned promotions, and Davenport is one of them.

Parker Messick should have made his last High-A start last night. He was phenomenal. He went 5.2 innings, striking out 11 batters while not allowing a single walk or run. His ERA on the season is down to 3.30, which is heavily inflated by one really bad start. He needs to be pitching in AA, in my opinion.

Angel Genao went 2-3 with a double and a walk. Maick Collado went 1-1 with 2 RBIs and 3 walks. Jorge Burgos went 1-3 with an RBI double and a walk. Cooper Ingle also went 1-3 with a walk.

Juan Zapata had a rough start, he gave up 7 earned runs on 6 walks and 6 hits in just 3 innings pitched. Jake Miller and Steve Hajjar combined for 6 strikeouts in 3 scoreless innings in relief.

Alex Clemmey didn’t have an awful outing, but it wasn’t very good. He continues to struggle with his control. He pitched 4 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 4. His ERA on the season sits at 6.57.

It wasn’t a great game for the Lynchburg offense, as Robert Lopez was the only Hillcat to have a multi-hit game, going 2-3 with two doubles.

It was an absolutely dominant performance from Lynchburg in game 2. Jaison Chourio lead the way, going 3-4 with a triple and a sweet opposite field HR. Juan Benjamin went 2-4 with a HR and a double. Jose Pastrano and Wuilfredo Antunez both went 2-4 with a double. Ralphy Velazquez went 0-2, but he had 3 walks and 0 strikeouts.

22 year old Kyle Scott had a fantastic performance, in 5 innings pitched, he didn’t allow a single run or walk, and struck out 6 while giving up just 2 hits. His ERA on the season is down to 3.29.

Jacob Bresnahan had another good start, which is very nice to see. The 18 year old threw 4 innings, struck out 6 and walked none, while giving up just 1 earned run.

Jose Pirela went 2-4 with a triple, he’s starting to get comfortable after a slow start. The same can be said for Luis Morejo, as he went 1-4 with a double. Welbyn Francisca went 1-3 with a walk, and Jose Cedeno went 2-3 with a double.
