Happy New Year, everyone! It won’t be long before Spring Training begins.

In the meantime, it’s definitely been a slower MLB offseason than last year:

Paul Hoynes wrote an article where he said Chase DeLauter is “a couple years away” and said the Guardians aren’t going to dive into the free agent pool to get players like Teoscar Hernandez or J.D. Martinez. One of those statements seems true to me.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim signed Zach Plesac. To a major league deal no less.

Guardians Twitter account @Claseinsession interviewed Will Brennan on Instagram. Some folks are a little miffed that Brennan talked about trying to get some more power because fans are “grumpy” about it, but I think it’s important to remember that Brennan undoubtedly said that in a joking tone. I think every baseball player wants more power.

Hope 2024 is a good year for you and yours and for the Guardians!
