Cleveland ACL Team 10, ACL White Sox 8
Box Score · Indians improve to 3-2
Renamed the “ACL Indians” for the Arizona Complex League, Cleveland’s U.S.-based rookie affiliate moved back over .500 by playing home run derby Monday, and it was a game of firsts.
Cleveland’s 2020 first-round pick Carson Tucker went 2-3, blasting his first professional home run and also walking and stealing a base.
Milan Tolentino, a fourth-round pick in 2020, blasted the second home run of his career already, going 2-4 at the dish.
Isaiah Greene, the Mets’ second-round pick in 2020, who was one of the returns in the Francisco Lindor trade, also homered, going 1-4 with a walk, while 19-year-old Dayan Frias went 2-3 with his first professional home run and a pair of walks. Junior Sanquintin also doubled and walked.
The pitching wasn’t much to write home about, but 2019 37th round pick Jacob Forrester held down the fort with a pair of strikeouts in the ninth inning to earn the save.
All other teams had scheduled days off.
