Draft day is here! Over the next three days, Cleveland and 29 other baseball teams will fill their farm systems with draft picks.
Last year, in a draft abbreviated by the COVID-19 pandemic, Cleveland selected shortstop Carson Tucker with the No. 23 pick in the draft. FanGraphs ranked him as the No. 17 prospect in the organization enter the 2021 season. So far in six games with Cleveland’s Arizona Complex team, Tucker has gone 3-for-20 with a home run and four strikeouts.
Day one of the 2021 MLB Draft includes the first round and competitive balance Round A. It will be live tonight starting at 7:07 p.m. ET on ESPN, MLB Network, MLB.com, and a YouTube livestream. Day two, which includes rounds two through 10 as well as competitive balance Round B, will be broadcast on Monday, July 12, on MLB.com starting at noon. The draft will conclude with rounds 11 through 20 on Tuesday, July 13, on MLB.com starting at noon.
