Daniel Johnson and a couple friends had a home run derby yesterday, and Daniel won. Johnson, Will Benson, and Tyler Freeman participated, but the latter two could only manage one each, while Ranger pitchers let DJ spin twice around the bases.
On the pitching side was about as solid of a pentagon as you’re going to see in a March 10 game, with all five having a shot at pitching for the MLB team this year — Aaron Civale, Logan Allen, Anthony Gose, Trevor Stephan, and Eli Morgan combined for nine five-hit two-run innings.
José Ramírez and Franmil Reyes returned to the team but did not play.
