Cleveland Indians held internal conversation on potential MLB opener for July 1, per report | Cleveland
Details of a conference call with Indians staff and players, leaked to Ken Rosenthal, seem to point to a July 1 start date. Or at least that’s what the Indians are planning for. Good news, finally?

Keith Law: I’ve heard the Indians would like to pay Lindor, but he won’t even entertain contract extension offers; there just hasn’t been a negotiation at all | 923 The Fan
This shouldn’t be newsworthy in early May of a baseball season, but here we are. Keith Law said in a radio interview that he didn’t believe Francisco Lindor ever had any intention of staying in Cleveland without testing free agency first. If what Law is saying is true, it shouldn’t be that surprising given the events of the last few years, but it’s also just someone spitballing on a radio show.
