Substituting 23 thoughts for the Indians first 23 games | cleveland.com
From Paul Hoynes:
13. Indians manager Terry Francona put it best when he said it’s going to be impossible to have a normal season this year. He said teams and players are going to have to be flexible.
So with an outlier season like this – perhaps with all 30 teams playing in Arizona — will we see robo-umpires? The system has been tested in the independent Atlantic League and the Arizona Fall League. How about pace of play suggestions like starting the 11th inning with a man on second base to prevent an 18-inning games that turns pitching staffs to mush.
It could be the perfect test tube to make some changes in the game.
