Fun flashback to the 1999 AL MVP Award . . . Indians had two stars near top. Manny Ramirez hit 44 homers, racked up an insane 165 RBIs, and his OPS was 1.105 that year! Only good enough for 3rd place in the voting.

If you think a pitcher can be MVP, well then Pedro Martinez got robbed. 9.8 WAR. 243 ERA+. 313 Ks in 213 innings, with just 37 walks and a 2.07 ERA. All of this during the juiced-up steroid era. Wowzer.
