Carlos Santana is going to be playing the 2021 season in one of the least-palatable situations in North America. He signed a two-year deal with the Royals yesterday for $17.5M.

If that wasn’t sad enough, there appears to be a chance that Michael Brantley signs with the White Sox.

So I guess Corey Kluber is signing with Detroit and César Hernández is signing with Minnesota. 2020.

Around baseball

• The Giants have signed pitcher Matt Wisler for one year.

• And the White Sox signed Adam Eaton.

• The owner of the Rays said that his team will have no problem hosting social distancers! “Most of our games are attended by less than 10,000 people, so we could probably for the most part run a normal stadium operation,” said Stuart Sternberg.

Now, discuss whether Carson Wentz would have regressed so badly if he was a member of the Cleveland Br — nevermind. Don’t do that.
