The Rule 5 Draft was everything but normal. Being that we are still in 2020, the entire thing was done remotely, with a live stream available for those who wanted to listen in to front office executives struggle with microphones and were apparently inputting their picks in Slack.
But for a brief moment, it felt like the Winter Meetings again — scrambling to figure out which rumors were real, quickly learn about players we’ve never heard of it. It was wonderful.
Anyway, that’s over now, and it’s back to darkness for the foreseeable future. Happy Friday!
