Sinclair sells naming rights for regional sports networks to Bally’s

It has been easy to forget that Fox sold their regional sports network to Sinclair Broadcasting, especially since the Fox Sports name had not been removed from the station names. Now, it will probably be easy to forget that Sinclair Broadcasting operates the Indians broadcast home since the naming rights will belong to Bally’s. It is anyone’s guess how this will impact bidding the next time that broadcasting rights are up for bid.

Sinclair reached a long-term deal with casino operator Bally’s for the naming rights to its stable of regional sports networks, which includes the cable homes of the Cavaliers and Indians. The 10-year agreement is valued at $85 million, according to the New York Post.
