Braves sign Marcell Ozuna to one-year deal; Indians nowhere to be seen

  • For some reason, Marcell Ozuna accepted a one-year deal. For some reason, the Indians didn’t jump on this no-brainer addition. One-year, $18 million. Complete steal. Would have been our best hitting outfielder in forever.

• The Rockies didn’t pony up enough money to keep one of their prospects from heading to Korea. Nolan Arenado’s point being proven right almost immediately, imagine that.

• It looks like the Royals will put sentimentality atop their priorities in 2020.

• For those who care about the baseball hall of fame, Derek Jeter and Larry Walker will now be in it.

• The Astros continue to have no clue how to do relations publicly.

• The Cubs added Travis Lakins to their bullpen mix.

• It was a big day for pitchers who peaked 10 years ago, as Bud Norris and Drew Storen were signed
