Oscar Mercado just saved the Indians’ season

Yeah the rest of the game happened but all I want to talk about is this catch

This is your recap, and it’s nothing but Oscar Mercado szn.

With the bases loaded, one out, and only a two-run lead, Nick Wittgren gave up a hard-hit ball to center field that Oscar Mercado certainly didn’t catch. Obviously, there’s no way this man, with the ball in this position actually came down the catch. Right?

The White Sox obviously plated all three runners when the ball dribbled to the corner and Mercado couldn’t get it in time, right?

Wrong. He caught it, and one excruciatingly long at-bat later, the Indians won, 8-6.

Now, excuse me while I try to remember what a regular heart rate feels like.
