If you didn’t already hear, Bobby Bradley was sent to the minor leagues yesterday. A roster spot was needed for Zach Plesac and the other 24 men survived, meaning Bobby had to go.
Plesac made good use of the spot, throwing three hitless innings before a two-plus hour rain delay. The Cleveland bullpen also fared well, firing six one-hit innings.
Because Plesac picked off another runner, only one batter over the minimum was faced by the law firm of Plesac, Clippard, Goody & Olson. I’ve heard snappier names.
The Tribe bats were also superior, shelling Ryan Carpenter again. Carpenter is not good — his 9.30 ERA tells you that — but, we’ve seen the Indians get shut down by these types in the past. He’s an exception.
