The Cleveland Indians finalized a deal with the Minnesota Twins to acquire utility infielder Adam Rosales this morning.
INF Adam Rosales has been acquired from the Minnesota Twins for cash considerations. He will be assigned to the @CLBClippers roster in the coming days.— Tribeinsider (@tribeinsider) May 4, 2019
A veteran of more than ten years, Rosales pops up on a major league roster every so often as a depth option. You may recall him from such seasons as:
- 2010 Athletics: The One with Daric Barton
- 2016 Padres Featuring Ace Pitcher Christian Friedrich
- Or even 2018 Indians and the Short Sad Ending
He played in 13 games for the Tribe last season and made 21 plate appearances. It’s not likely that the infielder will see any time at the major league level this season, but it never hurts to have a veteran who is familiar with the system and I-71 around.
