MLB: Cleveland Indians at Chicago White Sox
score run; get congratulated
Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

Interesting. The Indians are off today, a Wednesday. My entire baseball calendar has been beaten to dust. Unless rain strikes, the only other Wednesday the Indians will have off this season is the one during the ASB. The ASB was also their only Wednesday off in 2018. Should I keep going further back?

No. Instead, some stuff that happened yesterday:

• Carlos Carrasco continued his domination of the White Sox.

• Oscar Mercado made his MLB debut, scoring a run after reaching via HBP. He was unable to catch up on sleep on the airplane.

• The Indians smashed 5 dingers, including 2 more by Jordan Luplow.

Around baseball

• The Twins won again. (And are probably going to do so again in roughly an hour. Their offense never stops. Can’t relate.)

• Justin Bour, one of the laziest baseball players I’ve ever seen, got demoted to AAA.

• Noah Syndergaard wasn’t able to no-hit the Nats, but did improve Wilson Ramos’ record by one extra win.
