Those who say Lindor will be traded are about 99 percent right...the Indians have gotten nowhere in terms of a long-term deal with his agents.

But trading him now? I have doubts.

The Indians believe they can knock off Minnesota and win the Central Division. They know Lindor is two seasons away from free agency. There will still be a strong market for him at the mid-season trading deadline.

The general managers meetings are coming soon. Rumors will fly. Teams will approach the Tribe for Lindor, and the Indians will listen. That’s what they did last winter when teams wanted Bauer and Kluber.
