Since the Tribe won’t be participating in postseason festivities, it will give the team more time to ponder what they can do between now and Opening Day to improve the team heading into 2020.

I hate that this seems to imply that Yasiel Puig most definitely will not be back next year:

• Apparently, the Red Sox will find it challenging to keep Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez without going over the tax threshold.
• Sam Holbrook, who was at the center of a 2012 controversy in the NLCS between the Braves and the Cardinals, will be on the umpiring crew for the Braves-Cardinals NLDS this year.
• The Nationals have offered Anthony Rendon a lot of money.
