If you’re a football coach, odds are high that your name was in the news yesterday. If you play baseball, odds are high that your name wasn’t, as team executives sit around waiting for you to decide you’re ready to take less money.

But sometimes baseball players are also really good at football at a really young age, causing their employer to take notice.

Tribe Notes

• Castrovince names 5 teams that could be about to be very busy. He includes the Indians as a bonus #6. If active means trading Corey Kluber, I’ll like it better if the Indians go into hibernation.

• Castrovince also talked to players and had them rank the nastiest pitches of 2018. Nobody wants to face Mr. Kluber. Maybe Jon Morosi should talk to those guys about what Kluber’s real value is.

No love from the players for Bauer, Carrasco or Clevinger. Or Josh Tomlin. Surprise!

• The Mets signed Hector Santiago to a Minor League deal. It feels like Santiago has faced the Indians 125 times in his career.
