Adam Plutko makes his triumphant return (hopefully)

If Plutko doesn't work out, maybe Bauer can pitch from his knees.

MLB: Cleveland Indians at Chicago Cubs Patrick Gorski-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Plutko last pitched for the Cleveland Indians on July 29 in a scoreless inning of relief against the Tigers. His last start for the Tribe is all the way back on June 30 against everyone’s second favorite team, the Oakland Athletics. Plutko’s overall numbers on the season are just fine for a #5 starter, but with the elite Cleveland rotation, he’s been little more than depth this season. With Trevor Bauer attempting recover from an injury while also trying to get CIA nanites out of his body (What? You think someone can just go on the internet and lie?), Plutko is now in the Cleveland rotation. Let’s see what he can do.
