MLB Draft 2018: Day 1 open thread

The Indians will make their first selection 29th overall.

Like last season, the Cleveland Indians were nice enough to have an off-day the same day as the start of the draft, meaning you can see who they will pick without fear of missing which reliever will ruin your night.

Unlike last season, when the Indians forfeited their first-round draft pick to sign Edwin Encarnacion, they will have a supplemental pick for Carlos Santana signing with the Philadelphia Phillies.

All told, the Indians have four picks on day one, which includes first round of the draft, the competitive balance A, the second round, and the competitive balance B round. They’ll pick 29th, 35th, 41st, and 71st.
