Let’s Talk Tribe Podcast Ep. 93: The Robot Baseball League

What constitutes a cyborg baseball player? Is Jose Ramirez a cyborg? Probably. What I’m trying to say is: Merritt Rohlfing loves Cody Anderson.

Unless Jason Kipnis can keep up his recent streak of playing outstanding baseball, the Indians might be looking at a third base upgrade at the trade deadline. Could that player be Adrian Beltre? Is he even big enough of an upgrade?

Merritt and I discuss the idea of bringing in Beltre and why it does (and does not) make sense for the Indians to consider it. We also ponder on the idea of a cyborg baseball league because is there a line where a player has to stop moving things around in their body ala Tommy John surgery? Somehow, perhaps in a near drunken state, we made the jump from that to exoskeletons.

We also both miss our sweaty son, Cody Anderson.
