I don’t want to alarm anybody, but Jesus Aguilar has a 150 wRC+ 29 games into the season. That could mean nothing, or it could mean he’s the next big offensive thing in baseball and the Indians blew it by letting him go for nothing. His .413 BABIP and Quad-A history should point to the former, but based on the Indians’ luck lately I’m not counting out the latter.
The Indians will face Aguilar, and the rest of his new team, in a short, two-game set today and tomorrow. Game one will pit Corey Kluber against Wade Miley, which might give the Indians a slight advantage.
