The Tribe blasted three home runs and led 9-0 after four innings in their big Mother’s Day win. Yan Gomes had one of those homers and finished with four hits. Corey Kluber allowed zero earned runs over his seven innings and earned his AL best sixth win of the year. With the win, the good guys are now 20-19 on the year.

Francisco Lindor wore the wrong batting helmet to the plate and hilarity ensued | Cleveland.com

Who couldn’t like this guy?!? From Joe Noga:

Francisco Lindor could feel something was amiss when he stepped to the plate in the bottom of the first inning of the Tribe’s 11-2 win over Kansas City on Sunday, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was.

Then, he heard a voice in his ear. His left ear, specifically.

It was Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas telling Lindor that he was wearing a left-handed hitting batting helmet for his at-bat against lefty pitcher Danny Duffy.

”Moustakas started screaming at me,” Lindor said. “I looked at him. He touched his ear. I thought I had my earrings on, but I had the wrong helmet and the wrong leg guard. I had everything wrong.”
