Francisco Lindor wore the wrong batting helmet to the plate and hilarity ensued | Cleveland.com
Who couldn’t like this guy?!? From Joe Noga:
Francisco Lindor could feel something was amiss when he stepped to the plate in the bottom of the first inning of the Tribe’s 11-2 win over Kansas City on Sunday, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was.
Then, he heard a voice in his ear. His left ear, specifically.
It was Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas telling Lindor that he was wearing a left-handed hitting batting helmet for his at-bat against lefty pitcher Danny Duffy.
”Moustakas started screaming at me,” Lindor said. “I looked at him. He touched his ear. I thought I had my earrings on, but I had the wrong helmet and the wrong leg guard. I had everything wrong.”
