All eight of Corey Kluber’s starts are verified Quality Starts™. He’s done this despite the fact that seemingly every hit he allows now is a home run, but since no one is on base and he strikes everyone else out, he still cruises about eight innings while giving up only two.
The Royals elect to sacrifice Danny Duffy. He’s off to a rough start in 2018 compared to his career numbers, but much of that damage came in his last two starts. It won’t matter because Corey Kluber is going to throw
a perfect game quite a nice game today.
Also, the TV broadcast did a little blurb on Lindor’s mom celebrating his home run in Puerto Rico and I demand more player-mother content. Especially if Lindor extends his streak to 14 with a base hit today.
