The party has returned

Morning news and notes for Sunday, March 4, 2018.

MLB: World Series-Cleveland Indians at Chicago Cubs Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Sunday, folks! Here’s to another week of Tribe baseball with zero injuries!

Giants 13, Indians 4

Cleveland.com Recap | Box Score

Well, it’s a good thing this one didn’t count I suppose. Josh Tomlin got absolutely rocked in his second spring appearance to the tune of 5 runs on 6 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts in his 2.0 innings. Someone named Louis Head also gave up 5 runs in the ninth inning, but eh. Of the three Cleveland hits on the day, one was a home run off the batter’s eye in center field by Edwin Encarnacion.

Napoli to return as Indians DH today | MLB

The party is now officially back as Mike Napoli will suit up for the Cleveland Indians once again later today against the Milwaukee Brewers. Marshall defining determination at Tribe camp | MLB

After taking a line drive to the head back in August of 2015, no one would’ve blamed Evan Marshall for being done with baseball for good. Now, 2.5 years later, Marshall is back on the diamond trying to find his way onto a major league ball club. He was great for the Diamondbacks in 2014, so here’s to hoping he can make his comeback this season.
