Happy Sunday, everyone! Just a few short days until the games start counting!
Indians 10, Rangers 3
Cleveland.com Recap | Box Score
In his final tune up before Opening Day, Corey Kluber went six innings and allowed just two runs on three hits while walking two and striking out six. Roberto Perez also had a good day with a home run (fifth of the spring), a pick off at first, and a thrown out runner at second. Now, I didn’t watch yesterday’s game, but supposedly this happened:
Mike Napoli stole a base and my wife laughed at how slow he was. “I think he was skipping”

I can’t seem to find a video of this, so bonus internet points to anyone that can.
Tribe news
Belisle makes roster as final piece to bullpen | MLB
Speaking with former Tribe exec Derek Falvey (now with the Twins), the Indians found their last bullpen arm in Matt Belisle. He’s been decent to amazing over the last three seasons with as many teams, so here’s to hoping he can produce for Cleveland in 2018.
Guyer makes spring debut, in mix for OD roster | MLB
As you probably guessed, Brandon Guyer got hit by a pitch in his first game of the spring. Seems to be in mid-season form already.
Around the league
- Greg Bird will see a specialist for his inflamed foot.
- Madison Bumgarner had hand surgery on Saturday that will sideline him for at least two months.
- Shohei Ohtani had a ton of walks, a hit batsman, multiple wild pitches, and a depressed velocity, but Mike Scioscia says things went great.
- Bartolo Colon has been released by the Texas Rangers.
- Thankfully, Chris Sale was okay after getting hit by a line drive.
- Howard Johnson, coach for the Rangers AAA team, was also hit by a line drive and ended up in the hospital. He was awake and able to answer questions immediately after being hit, so that’s a fantastic sign.

Apparently the @Indians have changed their names to the "Lindors" according to this article pic.twitter.com/BhoYFmfuUS
