The Cleveland Indians like to have some fun on Twitter, win or lose. It just happens to be more fun when they’re winning.
One of the many things they’ve done recently is change their Twitter handle to match the number of W’s in their current winning streak.
And, well, they’ve officially won too many and are breaking Twitter.
If you pay close attention, you may notice that their name is simply “WWWWWWWWWWWWWWIndian” because the ‘s’ no longer fits. If all goes well, they could be known as just “WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW” by next week.
An Indians fan was having similar issues last week attempt to reach the Indians’ very real official website.
What am I doing wrong, @Indians? pic.twitter.com/30pr9xwbru

But don’t worry, the Tribe are out here searching for answers from a higher power.
.@Twitter Thoughts on an indefinite increase in the character limit for names on your wonderful app?

In case they want to keep the #branding with Indians somewhere in their name, here are some suggestions:
W^13Indians
ALotOfWIndians
JoseRamirezFanClub(Indians)
RoyaLLLLLLLsIndians
In the meantime, I’m okay with the endless W’s encroaching on Twitter’s character limit. Sadly the season is over, or they might get in the way of the 140-tweet limit.
