Indians-Royals finale delayed by rain

Just when the Indians offense finally got going.

MLB: Kansas City Royals at Cleveland Indians Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Indians are currently in a rain delay against the Kansas City Royals. The forecast never looked good coming into the game, but at least it held off for the first inning and a half. Once the Royals came out in the bottom of the second, however, things got a lot worse.

More updates as they become available.

4:17 p.m. ET: According to Paul Hoynes, the grounds crew is “making move” on the tarp. Whether that means preparing to move it or asking it on a date is still unknown. And it is indeed 4:17 p.m.

4:19 p.m. ET: Game is scheduled to resume at 4:45 p.m. ET, also according to Hoynes. No word yet on the date situation between the grounds crew and the tarp.
