Kansas City Royals erupt and melt Cleveland Indians 12-5 - Let's Go Tribe

Woof. Everything was going so well, and then it wasn’t. Carlos Carrasco was on the mound, he was looking very good, until the fifth inning, when it seemed like the Royals discovered some sort of mechanical tell. Or Carrasco just started to make mistake after mistake.

Indians' Carlos Carrasco discusses rough start |
My first thought, after “this sucks, I’m going out to mow the lawn” was “I hope Carrasco didn’t re-injured himself”. But no, there’s no injury at fault for the fifth-inning implosion, which is good.

Cleveland Indians have Terry Talkin' Bradley Zimmer, Grady Sizemore, pitching -- Terry Pluto |
One of the bright spots of yesterday’s game was Bradley Zimmer’s home run. Pluto sees parallels with Grady Sizemore (speed, power, propensity to strike out). One difference between the two is that Zimmer made his debut in his age 25 season, while Sizemore’s first stretch of regular playing time came in his age 22 season.

Also Pluto does confirm that the Indians do have a fourth option year on Salazar, but they don’t think he can work on his issues at the minor-league level. Fair enough.

Chisenhall played for the Ducks last night, and after the game (see the Scout article for an interview) said he felt good. If I had to guess, he’ll be activated before Tuesday’s game in Colorado.
