Danny Salazar takes the mound against Kansas City Royals

A win would be nice.

The last time the Indians and Royals met earlier this month, Cleveland dropped the first game 3-1 and then went on to win the next two. Yesterday, Cleveland dropped game one of this three game series, so I'm anticipating two wins in a row here from the good guys. They'll have to get past Jason Vargas, who held the Indians to just four hits over six innings the last time they faced off. What's that? Vargas is a left handed pitcher...well then. Here's to hoping. Opposing Vargas will be Danny Salazar. Danny Salazar is still striking out almost everyone he faces (13.21 K/9), but he's also giving up home runs to basically everyone else (2.11 HR/9). In fact, the last start in which Danny Salazar did not give up a home run was on April 23 against the White Sox. His previous outing was a step in the right direction (3 runs over 5.2 innings), but with Salazar's arsenal and the abysmal hitting by the Royals (seriously, their wRC+ as a team is 76. The [redacted] Padres are hitting better than the Royals), he should be able to have a good outing today. Here's to hoping.

And now, here's the starting nine for your Tribe:
