Cleveland Indians place Lonnie Chisenhall on 7-day concussion disabled list | Cleveland.com

Welp. Turns out Lonnie Chisenhall did concuss himself on an awkward slide against the Houston Astros last weekend. Per the rules of the concussion disabled list, which was implemented in 2011, if Chisenhall has not fully recovered from his symptoms after a week, he will be transferred to the 10-day disabled list.

Around the league

  • White Sox pitching prospect Lucas Giolito threw a seven-inning no-hitter yesterday. More importantly, for fans of hilarious coincidences, he threw it against the Washington Nationals minor league team. The Nationals, if you recall, traded Giolito for Adam Eaton this offseason.
  • Oh, Padres, you try. You really do.
  • What are the Royals going to do with their core approaching free agency? They might trade them. Or they might not. They might re-sign them. Or they might not.
