So far this season, the Arizona Diamondbacks wield the best offense in all of baseball. This evening, they'll try to expand their lead against former Cy Young winner Corey Kluber, and conclude a sweep of the reigning American League Champions.
Personally, I'd rather they not.
Carlos Santana continues an adventure in the outfield, while Brandon Guyer hits third and patrols left field. The Indians are still being cautious with Michael Brantley, but with a lefty on the mound in an NL park, it isn't a bad move to start Guyer, anyway. Austin Jackson rounds out the outfield.
The infield is the same as it's been every single game of the season. It's difficult to make any statements about the state of the defense on the diamond this early, except to say that Jose Ramirez is a fine defensive second baseman, and Yandy Diaz looks fine.
Mostly, I'm looking for the Indians to avoid a meltdown inning and give nine consistent ones instead.
