Yesterday's game was boring. Sure, the Cleveland Indians lost to another soft tossing lefty, but that's old news. Today, they face a pitcher who throws with their right hand, so hopefully they can muster more than four hits.

Yovani Gallardo, age 31, takes the mound for the Mariners today. After his solid season with the Texas Rangers in 2015, he struggled to pitch well last season for the Baltimore Orioles and has got off to a slow start for Seattle this season. So far, in 22.1 innings of work, he's allowed 12 earned runs on 28 hits while striking out 16 and walking 7 (good for an ERA+ of 79). His most recent start came against the Oakland Athletics on April 23. In that game, Gallardo went 6.1 innings, his longest outing of the season, and allowed just 1 earned run on 4 hits while he walked 1 and struck out 7. He'll attack hitters primarily with his slider (89mph) and fastball (92mph), but he'll also mix in a sinker (92mph), curve (80mph) and changeup (86mph)

Opposite Gallardo, Danny Salazar makes his fifth start of the season for the Tribe. In the 22.2 innings he's pitched this season, he has been almost exactly average (ERA+ of 101), but there is a silver lining due to the large disparity between his ERA (4.327) and his FIP (2.12). Maybe Danny's been getting unlucky? Probably not that unlucky, but he should be able to string together quality starts for the Tribe. So far this season, he's given up 11 earned runs while walking 11 and striking out 36. Fun fact: among all qualified starters in baseball, Danny leads everyone with a K/9 of 14.29. Now if he could just get the walks in check, he would be a superstar. His last outing came on April 23 against the Chicago White Sox where he went 5.0 innings and allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits while walking 3 and striking out 9.

And now, here's the starting 9 for your Tribe:
