According to a recent report put out by Major League Baseball, Francisco Lindor jerseys are ranked as the 16th most popular among fans. Lindor is the only Cleveland Indians player to make the top-20 list, released earlier today, and also the only player in the American League Central to make it.

Behold, @MLB’s most popular jerseys. https://t.co/543ksBzyV5 pic.twitter.com/JvNr5RyGSR
This is Lindor’s first year making the top-20 list; he is one of four players to make their debut this year, and one of 10 players on the list that are 25 years old or younger. Along with Los Angeles Dodgers’ Corey Seager, Lindor is one of only two shortstops to make the list, as well. With so many young shortstops emerging, I don’t expect these two will be alone on the list for long, though.
News of Lindor’s jersey popularity comes one day after a report from Tom Verducci stated that Lindor wasn’t swayed by a $100 million put forth by the Indians prior to the season. It’s not hard to see why he would turn down the offer, either. At only 23 year old as one of the league’s premiere shortstops and a talent that seems to get better every single month, he is going to be in for a massive payday when he hits free agency.
Lindor was also signed as the face of New Balance in February and he’s off to one of the best starts in franchise history.
