On this week’s episode of Let’s Talk Tribe, we talk spring training... again. At least this time Merritt and I have someone who is actually in Goodyear, thanks to Brittanie Fowler joining the podcast. She gives us insights straight from Arizona and tells of a serendipitous close-encounter with Grady Sizemore.
Tyler Naquin took a ball off his foot, but there’s no reason to panic. Similarly, there are other teams technically playing in the AL Central but there’s no reason to panic about any of them. We discuss who might be the closest to challenging the Cleveland Indians’ title chase, though, and we all land on different teams.
We also talk about Tito’s unconditional love for all human beings and Merritt’s unconditional love for Abraham Almonte.
Social media questions this week include @summer_of_CLE who wants to know if Tito hates Yandy Diaz, @ChrisHawley_216 who wants to know if Austin Jackson or Bradley Zimmer will make the Opening Day roster, @landroyalty who wants to know if it’s important that Danny Salazar and Carlos Carrasco get to 200 innings, @PilotNickk wants to know if Jason Lukehart's soon-to-be-born baby will ever be a Cleveland Indian, and @ESTurner13 wants to know Abe Almonte’s ceiling.
The new intro and outro music comes courtesy of the Cleveland-based band New Planet Trampoline and their track ‘Confidence Man.’ Check them out on Bandcamp.
