Indians vs Astros
Thursday, September 8, 2016, 12:10 PM ET, Progressive Field
TV: MLBTV, STO
Radio: WTAM
The Indians enter Thursday with a 5 1/2 game lead over the Detroit Tigers in the American League Central and hope Trevor Bauer will help them extend that lead a little more.
Bauer will take the mound against the Astros in the final game of the teams' four game series. The right-hander enters with a record of 10-6 and a 3.70 ERA. He has made four consecutive quality starts.
The Astros will turn to David Paulino, a 6'7" right-hander who will be making his Major League debut. One of Houston's top prospects, Paulino throws hard, sitting 97+ mph with his fastball, and has had plenty of success so far this year in the minor leagues. Over 20 appearances between Double-A and Triple-A, Paulino owns a 2.00 ERA and 106 strikeouts in just 90 innings.
