The Cleveland Indians are about to clinch the American League Central division. Will they do it in this series against the Chicago White Sox, their final home series of the season, or will they be nice enough to wait and do it in Detroit so they can eliminate the Tigers and clinch in one single, glorious game?
Pitching matchups
- Friday, 7:10 p.m. ET: Miguel Gonzalez (RHP) vs. Trevor Bauer (RHP)
- Saturday, 7:10 p.m. ET: Jose Quintana (LHP) vs. Cody Anderson (RHP)
- Sunday, 1:10 p.m. ET: Carlos Rodon (LHP) vs. Josh Tomlin (RHP)
The most interesting thing here is Cody Anderson getting just his ninth start of 2016. While technically a start, this is another "bullpen day," so don't expect him to pitch more than three or four innings. Josh Tomlin will wrap up the series and look to build on a pair of great starts.
Upcoming schedule
The Indians will head to Detroit on Monday then wrap up the regular season with a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals.
