Let's Go Tribe Podcast Ep. 47: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why do the Indians keep bunting? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ When will Danny Salazar come back? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Should the Indians rest Francisco Lindor? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Why did Paul Hoynes dedicate so much time to an awful hot take? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

While we here at Let's Go Tribe are the smartest, best, greatest, most intelligent, best, greatest, and most humble baseball writers on planet Earth, we don't know everything. One way or another, that was basically the theme of this podcast episode.

For starters, we have no idea why Paul Hoynes thought it was a good idea to declare the Indians outright dead in the water when they still have one of the best offenses in the league, a Cy Young candidate, and a fantastic bullpen.

In this sea of unknowns, we actually brought on someone who knows something: Brandon Powers, Doctor of Physical Therapy and frequent contributor to another great Indians blog, Indians on Scout (you may know them as Indians Baseball Insider, as well). Brandon talked with us at length about the injuries to Yan Gomes, Danny Salazar, Carlos Carrasco, and Michael Brantley. How the injuries happened, how they were treated, and how those players could come back. Brandon was great, you should listen.

We also took social media questions, of course. @MattSchlichting wanted to know why Lindor would be amazing as the Cavs' center, @DavidFromThe216 wanted to know why everyone blames Bryan Shaw for everything, Jamie Bertolette wants to know if the Indians could use Andrew Miller as a starter in the postseason, Mike Speziale wants the Indians to get rid of Roberto Perez (how dare you), and Aaron Hedges wants to know why the Indians keep bunting.

This week's episode clocks in at 58 minutes. Thanks for listening!
