Cleveland Indians vs. Miami Marlins
September 1, 2016. 7:10 p.m. ET. Progressive Field
Radio: WTAM
TV: STO
As someone who knows a ton about every American League team, even the ones that are already out of the race, it's going to be quite odd to sit down and watch the Indians take on the Marlins, a team I know next to nothing about, especially at this juncture of the season. Variety is always something you like, but at this time of the year? No thanks. I recognize Ichiro (who must be loving having to spend the weekend in Cleveland), Dee Gordon, Martin Prado, and....Jeff Francoeur?!? He's still playing??
Well, at least the Indians are getting Interleague play over with in early September; the Tigers may be playing elimination games the last weekend of the season against the [redacted] ATLANTA BRAVES.
The team is coming off a well-deserved off day, and thanks to the calendar flipping over to September, will have enough pitching to cover any kind of blowout scenario. But let's hope that Carlos Carrasco makes the extra arms irrelevant tonight.
