I'll be at tonight's game, so expect a little bit of a different recap later. You'll still get all of the hard-hitting basebanalysis you've come to expect from us, and hopefully you don't think the root to that word is "banal".
Carlos Carrasco of the Indians and Miguel Gonzalez of the White Sox will box each other for fifteen rounds face off in tonight's contest. In 114 career starts, M-Gonz is 42-39 with a 3.81 ERA and a WHIP of 1.29. His next K will be the 500th of his career. Cookie, on the other hand, sits at 668 career Ks in 107 starts.
The Indians enter the series with a 7-game lead on the Tigers for the division. Detroit plays Minnesota this week before travelling to Cleveland this weekend.
Interesting thing to watch for tonight: some idiot on the first baseline getting hit by a line drive because he's typing on his laptop.
