Even Terry Francona can no longer ignore how ineffective Josh Tomlin has been, announcing yesterday before the game that Tomlin would sit out his next scheduled turn in the rotation. In other news, Corey Kluber is a good pitcher, Coco Crisp is now a Cleveland Indian and Joey Wendle is in the Major Leagues.

Corey Kluber excellent, everyone else pretty good too in Cleveland Indians win over Twins - Let's Go Tribe - Max Kepler let out one final shriek before disappearing back into the ocean never to be heard from again (or at least until the Indians play the Twins again in a couple weeks).

Corey Kluber strikes out 11 as Cleveland Indians complete sweep of Twins with 8-4 victory | - Kluber struck out 11 batters Wednesday night and Carlos Santana and Roberto Perez homered as the Indians completed a three-game sweep of the Twins with a 8-4 victory at Progressive Field.

Indians to skip Josh Tomlin in rotation | - Prior to Wednesday's game against the Twins, Indians manager Terry Francona announced that the team would bypass Tomlin's next turn, which would come up Monday against the Astros. With an off-day on Thursday, Cleveland could bring Corey Kluber back on Monday, delaying the need for a fifth starter until Tuesday's tilt against Houston.

Top prospect and outfielder Bradley Zimmer spearheads the trio of players that includes shortstop Yu-Cheng Chang and outfielder Greg Allen.

Indians, Oakland complete Coco Crisp trade | - On Wednesday, the Indians acquired veteran outfielder Coco Crisp from the A's, providing some insurance for down the stretch and potentially into October. Oakland received Minor League left-hander Colt Hynes and sent cash along with Crisp to Cleveland, where the outfielder began his Major League career 14 years ago.

Coco Crisp, the anti-Lucroy, could have nixed trade to Cleveland Indians, but didn't | - "In talking to Coco, he was pretty excited," said Chris Antonetti, Indians president of baseball operations. "As a player with 10 years of service and five consecutive with Oakland, he had the ability to not go anywhere."

Athletics call up Joey Wendle for MLB debut | - Oakland called up infielder Joey Wendle, who made his Major League debut in Wednesday afternoon's 4-3 loss to Houston at Minute Maid Park. Wendle went from Cleveland to Oakland for Brandon Moss.

Cleveland National Air Show features US. Army Golden Knights | - The Golden Knights, the Army parachute team, is planning to make several dives during the air show. They'll even dive at the Indians game Friday.

Dover's Perci Garner makes his MLB debut - Sports - Times Reporter - New Philadelphia, OH - "The lights are a little brighter," he noted. "I've thrown a lot of minor league innings and they say its the same, but it's not."
