Indians need to score more than one [expletive] run against Twins with Tomlin starting

Given the way the Little Cowboy has pitched lately, it's unlikely we'll see a repeat of last night's ridiculous pitcher's duel.

I said in the recap comments last night that yesterday's win was perhaps the most depressing walkoff win I'd ever seen. That the Indians' offense needed extra innings just to score one GD run against the Twins is not a good look for a pennant contender. That said, it still counts as a W. And furthermore, today is a new day!

Now, back to the bad news: Josh Tomlin is starting for the Tribe today. That means the Indians' offense is going to need to score every bit of their 4.87 runs-per-game average, and likely more. Another lefty on the hill for the Twins means Brandon Guyer will again get the start in place of Tyler Naquin.

Sure, things could get ugly today. But it's also possible - hell, even likely - that the Indians finally remember that they're a really good team and hang some crooked numbers on the Twinkies. Hey, maybe the Little Cowboy even yields fewer than six runs. Anything is possible!
