The Indians could really use a solid win, and the Twins could really use an entirely new roster. Indians fans recently entered the denial phase, while Twins fans progressed through all five stages of grieving months ago.

Is Trevor Bauer just what the doctor ordered to yank the Indians out of the death spiral? The only acceptance that I'd like to see this team and fanbase go through involves the Commissioner's trophy being accepted by Terry Francona.

Bauer hasn't been great against the Twins this year, but his counterpart Hector Santiago might be collecting unemployment soon; since his trade from the Angels, the southpaw is 0-4 with a 10.89 ERA.

More than anything else, the Indians could use a big day from their offense, which slumbered for much of the last week. For example: Mike Napoli has one extra-base hit in his last 17 games. A double.
