Things didn't necessarily go the Indians' way last night. In fact, the last five games haven't been the greatest, either. You know what? That's fine. Things could be a lot worse. The Indians could be dead, completely disfigured, lying in a ditch, leaving the country baffled as to how a sports franchise could be killed in the same manner as Charles the Bold.
Whatever. Everything we know about baseball is already dead. For example, Kris Bryant just passed Mike Trout in fWAR. That's not allowed. It's simply. Not. Allowed.
Maybe the Indians can help to pull baseball out of this dystopian hellscape this afternoon. Danny Salazar battles Derek Holland via proxy war with the other's offense. Tito and Mickey Callaway recently questioned Salazar's preparation work before starts, so it will be interesting to see if there is any of the Divine Fire of Wanting to Prove Others Wrong in him today.
At the very least, I would like it if the game is not over after the first inning. Please, Danny? Maybe we can get some help from the umpires?
Oh, Danny Czar, the strikes, the strikes he's callingFrom shin to chin, and four inches outsideThe summer's gone, and Cleveland's lead is stallingIt's you, it's you must milk a zone this wide.
