Bear witness to the splendor of Corey Kluber and ask yourself how you might be more like Him.

Since the All-Star break the Indians' ace has silenced those who dared question his acedness.

Meeting of the Corey Kluber Society

August 21, 2016, 1:10pm ET

The Purpose of This Game Thread

The purpose of this post is to announce a meeting of the Corey Kluber Society.

About the Society

The Corey Kluber Society (or, frequently just "the Society") is composed of individuals all bound by their singular enthusiasm for the works and days of Cleveland right-hander Corey Kluber.

How to Attend a Meeting

To attend a meeting of the Society, one needs merely — while watching Corey Kluber pitch — one needs merely to ask, "How might I do spiritually what Corey Kluber does physically?"

--

Carson Cistulli, Fangraphs writer and founder of the Society, is responsible for the wonderful words you see above. However, he hasn't "hosted" a meeting since June, and I thought it might be nice to hold one here.

Corey Kluber is 5-0 with a 1.65 ERA in his last seven starts. While the rest of the Indians rotation struggled at some point since the All-Star break, Kluber remained locked in. Perhaps the break allowed him to squash some of the bugs he encountered in his last start against the Blue Jays on July 3rd. The 17-1 thrashing wasn't entirely the Klubot's fault, but his 3 1/3 innings with five allowed were painful to witness.

Not that the Klubot feels pain. Are we in true Klubot territory again? I think we are. While the defensive independent stats don't like him quite as much as they did in 2014, I think it's safe to say that hitters fear him just as much once again.

The crossed-out info at the top is still true, by the way.
