Let's Talk Tribe Podcast Ep. 42: The Sadness Hour

In this week's episode, Jason and I discuss Roberto Perez's failures, Michael Brantley's setback, the sadness of Prince Fielder's retirement and even some non-depressing things!

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

It's been a weird week for Cleveland Indians baseball, which means a lot of weird things to talk about. Even outside of the Indians, baseball in a state of upheaval with the impending retirements of Mark Teixeira, Alex Rodriguez, and Prince Fielder. But hey, at least Tim Tebow is here to save us all.

This was recorded before the Indians exploded for 14 runs against the Los Angeles Angels, so Jason and I were still in the mindset of a team who had struggled to win two games against the New York Yankees and Washington Nationals. We preview the Angels series, and we kind of had an idea it might not be close. Hopefully, that keeps up over the course of the other two games.

We also answer fan questions, such as @JamesEPowell who wants to know what could happen with roster expansions, @scottguise who wants to know if Mike Napoli could return with the Indians, and Marty Danascak on Facebook who wants to know what the Indians will do in the postseason without Abraham Almonte.

This week's episode clocks in at 58 minutes. Thanks for listening!
